Our programmes include everything needed for a safe, structured, and meaningful therapeutic experience.
The following is included for every participant referred to Wild Mane for our Therapeutic Programme:
Participants Hub - A secure, optional online space for photos, videos, writing, artwork, wildlife tracking, and skills evidence.
Hub
Every participant works towards Wild Mane’s progressive skills certificates, designed so everyone can achieve and progress in their own goals.
Certificates
Specialist PPE & Equipment - All tools, safety kit, grooming equipment, and outdoor resources are provided.
PPE
Fully insured activities with RAIC oversight and risk-assessed session plans.
Insurance
Sessions may include guest visits from photographers, musicians, artists, farriers, vets, or conservation specialists.
Professionals
Resources & Materials - All practical, creative, and learning materials are included throughout the block.
Materials
Hot and cold drinks, plus simple snacks to keep participants comfortable and steady.
Refreshments
Pony Care & Management - Access to grooming tools, yard & field equipment, and hands-on learning with our herd.
Ponies
Feed & Welfare Costs - Hay, feed, farrier, dental, worming, and routine care are all included and covered within the cost with us being a s a not-for-profit.
Welfare
Field & Land Rental (Not-for-Profit) - All profit is reinvested into land rental, welfare, safety, and participant resources.

Staff & Facilitation - Knowledgeable staff deliver sessions, complete session write-ups, and manage participant support.

Outcome Tracking - Before and after each programme block, we complete baseline measures, and a final outcome summary for every participant. We complete session notes after each session to make sure each participant is gaining full value of the programme. Please see Outcome Measures on the Referrers Hub menu for full details.
Tracking
A structured mix of equine-assisted learning, outdoor skills, creativity, and nature-based practice is planned for each group, to meet needs and age.
Activities
Wildlife & Badger Tracking - Wildlife cameras, wildlife study, and ecosystem awareness through supervised exploration. These are put on our participants hub so the participants can watch the wildlife in their own time.

Tools & Outdoor Kit - All equipment needed for fire-skills, shelter building, rope work, and hands-on tasks.

Low Group Sizes - Small groups allow for calm, focused, and personalised learning.
Groups
A well-managed outdoor environment with working areas, wildlife zones, and maintained grazing space to support learning, safety, and equine welfare.
Environment
Our Wild Mane base sits on the edge of a country park, giving participants access to local green space, wildlife, and history. Sessions may include guided activities within the park, learning about the surrounding landscape, or observing and tracking wildlife as part of the programme.
