Who can refer
Professionals who support someone struggling with anxiety, confidence, school attendance, social connection, or regulation can refer into Wild Mane. This includes schools and colleges, GPs and Primary Care teams, social prescribers, Early Help and youth support services.
If you are a parent or carer or an adult who wishes to attend one of our programmes and feel as though Wild Mane would help, you can speak to your school or GP and simply ask for a referral to be made. Our process is designed to be straightforward for everyone involved.

Why Wild Mane
Wild Mane provides a calmer, more practical alternative to settings where someone may feel overwhelmed or misunderstood. We help people feel steady in themselves, comfortable alongside others, and confident to re-engage in everyday life. Our support is structured, person-centred and designed to make progress feel possible again.

Making a referral
Our online referral process keeps things simple and ensures that support begins as smoothly and quickly as possible. Referrers complete a short form online, and we review the individual’s needs and any immediate risks. We contact the referrer to confirm that Wild Mane is a suitable fit, then complete registration and welcome the participant.
Before starting, we carry out baseline wellbeing measures using recognised tools such as the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, Goal-Based Outcomes, the Stirling Children’s Wellbeing Scale and WEMWBS for adults. We then place the participant into a group that suits their needs and abilities.
At the end of the programme, we repeat these wellbeing measures and combine them with session notes, video diaries, photographs, participant work and reflective activities to build a full picture of their development.

Measured outcomes
Every programme at Wild Mane is assessed professionally so progress can be understood clearly. We build a picture that shows how confidence, emotional regulation and social comfort change over time, and whether everyday engagement becomes easier at home, school or in the community.
Referrers can view outcomes in the Referrers Hub and use the information confidently in their own planning and reviews. This means everyone involved can see what is working.

The Referrers Hub
Once registered as a referrer, professionals receive secure access to the Referrers Hub. This space has everything needed to work smoothly with Wild Mane: policy documents, key programme information, referral forms, pricing guidance, updates on progress, downloadable reports and a clear overview of our approach. Communication is easy, organised and recorded in one place.

The Participants Hub
Parents and participants receive access to their own online space once they are started on one of our programmes.
The Participants Hub includes welcome guidance, directions and meeting points, clothing and safety information, grounding and regulation resources, printable tools and calming nature livestreams.
Participants can upload their own reflections such as artwork, writing, photographs or video diaries, which support their programme achievements.
